I can take or leave them. We probably eat more Brussels sprouts than anything, tho.

I don't make mashed potatoes and gravy on the holidays, since there's stuffing and sweet potatoes, and I prefer to top both my turkey and stuffing with cranberries.

and must have mashed white (or gold) potatoes for the GRAVY

and that is pretty much our menu too. we also have a pickle and black olive dish.

don't for get the sparkly beverages.

I like having plenty of vegetables, but not usually peas. Brussels sprouts, green bean, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes and a relish tray with carrots, celery (stuffed and plain), radishes, broccoli, cukes, cauliflower, sweet peppers, olives (green and black), and pickles, sweet and dill.

It is tricky to make all of that for a small gathering, but we've adjusted it for a balance between tradition and reality.
