(22,767 posts)Making a green salad with lettuce and tomatoes from the garden and onion, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Out of cukes and olives, tho.
Your root veg fries reminded me that I haven't made roasted root veggies in quite a while, so added turnips, golden beets and rutabaga to my shopping list for this week. Thanks for the reminder!

(22,059 posts)It was a busy day preparing Pelagic for her introduction to the Chesapeake Bay tomorrow around noon. Weve timed our departure to coincide with the ebb tide which will give us added velocity. Were headed to the Sassafras River.
Dinner tonight is chicken tikka masala, Dahl fry and Basmati rice. We have some craft IPAs in the bottom of the ice box so Ill be assigned the task of digging them out, (I have longer arms).
Orange slices for dessert.

It wasn't quite enough, so I roasted a honeynut squash. It is a cross between butternut and buttercup squash. First time I tried it, pretty good. They are small, one is just enough for a serving.
No dessert.
