Need recommendation on a slow cooker

Earlier this afternoon i packed my 7-quart Gourmia crockpot with ingredients to make pho soup. Plugged it in & it crapped out on me.
I 've had this one for almost 4 years, and purchased a manual one on purpose since my previous expensive digital slow cooker only lasted 2 years. I have a 4qt manual original Crock pot brand that is over 20 years old still works but i need a large one for soups, etc. Would love your recommendation on a good one &whether i should go manual or digital. Thanks!

They are each over fifty years old

Any identifying markings are long gone

But if I had to replace I would get a manual

Unless you need to schedule things, go dumb simple.

Set and forget.

BTW, people get slow cookers as gifts, and never use them, so you can get a sparkling clean one at the thrift for like $5.

Same for timers. Cheap, if you need to delay.
