Netlixb binging for the past two weeks and I've seen some of the best tv I've ever wathced

Ranking them 1-4, These are my recommendations:
1) "Hell on Wheels". A 47 (or so) part series about the building of the transcontinental railroad.
2) "Narkos". About the unbelievably violent lives of the Colombian drug cartels (3 seasons)
3) "Breaking Bad" A high school chemistry teacher has a knack for cooking meth. The rewards are great, but the risks are even greater. (5 seasons)
4)" I am a Killer". A series of interviews with mostly death row inmates in across the country. (about 10 stories)

Now I understand binge watching. The only upside of quarantine that I have been able to find.

bingeing, so much more caught up in the story...week to week you forget some details. For further watching I recommend The Americans, The Wire and The Sopranos. Not sure if they’re on Netflix, might have to use Amazon Prime.

make sure you do "Better Call, Saul." Tells the story of Saul before the "Breaking Bad" series.

On another note: I thought that "Breaking Bad" was a dark comedy. Granted there is lots of violence, but think about the kleptomaniac sister in law married to the DEA agent. When I stepped back from the viewing there was always something that was funny: the acid in the bathtub was a favorite.

My husband said it took him most of the first season to get it. Have you tried Ripper Street? The characters have a little less heavy an accent than Peaky Blinders.

It's so good for so many reasons. I started on Peaky Blinders but never went back to it after season 1. It just seemed like it was always a revenge war back and forth. Ripper Street at least had a little more to it than PB for me.

Peaky Blinders is a british mob story based in the very early 1900's, I'm not so much into it, bc I'm kind of over most all the mob stories even if they are british. I do like Ripper Street which is early cops in Whitechapel during the time of and soon after the Jack the Ripper period.

Two I just can't get into are Marcella, which is a cop drama set in modern day London or a british city anyway and it's not bad, but it's one of those that no one is really likeable, and the heroine is one of the least likeable. The other is Hinterland, a modern day cop drama set in Wales and the backdrop of Wales is amazing and the show'snot bad at all but again, everyone's miserable and not really very likeable.
