X-Men '97 - some spoiler free thoughts on the first two episodes

This is a direct continuation of the 90’s series, it picks up shortly after it ended. So… I’ll talk about some of what they’re doing.

Animation - completely captures the spirit of the old series but far, far better. I’m full on in love with it.

Voice acting - They got back all the living original voice actors and managed to get good replacements for those who have passed. Zero complaints here.

Story - Total setup for where they plan on going… And I’m very excited to see it. They are not constrained by the MCU as this takes place in the 90’s and in a separate universe. I love all the hints they are giving.

Bottom line - If you’re a fan of the old series… Or even just liked it, I think you are going to find a lot to love here.

And now I feel they’ve been exceeded. I could not be happier with it so far.
