"Till" on Amazon Prime

This is the story of the kidnapping and lynching of Emmet Till in 1955 Mississippi. His "crime" was whistling at a white woman. The story follows his mother Mamie Till, from being a mom to becoming a civil rights activist after losing her only child to racist violence. Her son had been beaten and thrown in a river after he was killed. She allowed photos of his bloated body to be published, and had an open casket funeral.

This is an important piece of American history.

I watched this yesterday and I have to say it was very powerful. Its painful to watch.

One that shakes the inner core of one's soul.

Sad to think that sentiment towards African-Americans still pertains today.

A film NOT to be missed.

What they did really boils the blood. (what "they" continue to do continues to boil the blood). How can some members of our species be like this?
