On PBS! Acorn bought all the British shows. I hate that. All the best shows. We finally get Doc Martin.

I didn't watch the series before we went to the UK, but one of the hotels we stayed at was restricting parking the morning when we were leaving. We were told that an episode of the show was being filmed there that day. Unfortunately, we had to travel on - I set too tight of a schedule and did not allow for extra days or side trips. I'm looking forward to the next season to see the episode shot at the place we stayed - The Expanse Seafront Hotel, Bridlington, East Riding Of Yorkshire.

My wife and I watched a few episodes from later seasons as they came on the local public teevee station recently and then noticed LTIH was on Netflix. So we've started over at the beginning -- watched the first two tonight!

What a delight. The Alan and Celia characters are so charming (marvelously played by Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid), and their relationship is heartwarming -- amid all the chaos and neuroses of their respective families, surrounded by the scenic beauty of West Yorkshire.

The writing is tight, and the performances are top-notch. I'd watch anything with Nicola Walker, and am slowly working my way through any and everything I can find with her in it. So I'm glad to find this gem.

I searched DU for any references to the series before starting an OP, and sure enough, here's your thread! I hope more folks will tune in to this great show -- it's a lovely diversion at this time when we all need it so much.

Was pleased to see 2 British actresses I enjoy; Nicola Walker who also stars in ""Unforgotten" and Sarah Lancashire who stars in the British Police Drama Happy Valley.

Netflix has 3 Series of 6 episodes each.

Series 1,2 & 3 (6 episodes each)are available on Netflix, while Series 4 (2 episodes) & 5 (4 Episodes) are available through the PBS app.
