An old joke remembered

For some reason an old and not very funny joke keeps popping into my mind: Why are women so powerful? Because they control half the money and all of the p***y in the world. I think of it whenever I hear some Republican talk about women's right to choose, or contraception or rape. And isn't there an old fable about a town where all the women united and withheld sex from their husbands? I guess I'm wondering how Paul Ryan or Todd Akin would feel if they were denied sex, since abstinence seems to be the only option they want to leave for women who don't want to be brood mares.

Freaks are closeted gays. Wish they'd just accept themselves and be free and then they wouldn't have to take out their frustrations on women anymore

problem for either of those men.

The play you're looking for was "Lysistrata," and women denied their husbands sex until those husbands swore off war.

It's also a mistake to think we control much of anything, since we are smaller, weaker and have been made so much poorer than men.

What Paul Ryan and Todd Akin need to be denied is access to the halls of power, something that is not likely to happen in the near future. That's what would hurt them.

for the name of the play! Now I can read the whole thing. I know we don't control anything; it was just the idea of working with the tools you're given that appealed to me. What I really don't understand is the number of women who will vote for Ryan and Akin and Romney and on and on. I read that Ann Coulter said women shouldn't be allowed to vote! Maybe she really is a man.

and every big Irish family has at least one of them.

She's the one who'd creep downstairs after gathering all the mens' pants and build up the fire and hang the pants up so their dear little arses wouldn't get cold, using up all the turf so there would be no fuel to make tea.

In other words, she lives for those little pats on the head from men.
