(I have a love-hate relationship with some of Browning's editorial decisions & some of his stated opinions, and have since the Pam's House Blend days. It's mostly been love for the last 6 years or so, but then weird stuff like this pops up.)

Not a mention of politics or religious based threats to Liberty, only weather and buying power for retirees.

I have to ask: Would YOU feel save risking your retirement years in any of those states given the lock Republicans have on them and their promises to try to erase LGBTQ people from public life & revert reproductive liberty to the 1950's?

Living in Ohio as well, and having lived in Toledo for a decade one year, I think the biggest risk for any resident would be dying of boredom.

8. PA is somewhat trending our way

so Pittsburgh could be a good option, but the rest are non starters now. Only AZ is even maybe going our way (we did amazingly well this time).

I know there are places that would be cheaper, but I prefer to live where I feel free to openly be a Democrat and do things like drive around with a Biden sticker on my car without fearing for my life. Even a city like Austin, TX, that sounds pretty cool in its own right, loses a lot of its cool for me when I think about it as being an island of sanity surrounded by MAGA-infested waters.

9. Not to mention all the red states that have overridden local & city ordinances.

Austin, TX has been very cool ever since Parker was mayor. But I still wouldn't feel safe there given the state laws already enacted and on the drawing board.
