I take some heart, however in these MAGA's making fools of themselves. They've sewn themselves up tightly in their shrinking little screwball groups. They've become the new self-righteous cultists, convinced themselves they're right with God while destroying the earth, increasingly criminal in acts and motives. Lately the whole "peaceful Jan 6th gathering" is getting a strong reality check as insurrectionist prison doors slam shut and serious letters home from those cells land hard.
What will be their Achilles heel is the infighting, increasingly reflected in their republican representatives as they try to either out-MAGA each other... or the few who back off and rethink their platforms might not be working.
Meantime...
Last evening I went to my favorite Chinese buffet restaurant. Fortunately I was nearly finished as a miltia-appearing goofball troop wearing "God, guns and Trump" T shirts entered. They were all packing heat. The mass exodus of diners and myself was ridiculously obvious hastily leaving their tip and staying as distant from the terrorists as possible. These idiots soon had the whole place to themselves.
No one there to harass but each other and the wait staff.
Analogy for how they represent themselves.

Obergefell (marriage equality), Griswold (contraception), Lawrence v. Texas (sodomy) and Loving (freedom to marry) rest on principles of privacy now threatened by Dobbs.

Clarence Thomas said the quiet part out loud. Everything is on the table, although he omitted interracial marriages (like his own).

Overturning Roe further emboldened an already militant right. The overall agenda is Christian nationalism, and they argue that there is no privacy from their vengeful god.

First they came for the transwomen...

the Constitution doesn't protect it. They repeatedly cite the "original intent" of the founders circa 1790. Some like ACB are out to turn the clock all the way back to that era.
