GOP candidate promises to ban Pride Month because "Homosexuality and Transgenderism are evil"

Tennessee Christian conservative candidate Stewart Parks is trying to stand out amongst his nine U.S. House competitors by pledging to ban Pride Month and deliver a bunch of other far-right campaign promises.

“If you elect me, this month will be the last National Gay Pride month ever celebrated,” he wrote in a public Facebook post published June 1. “We need to elect people into US congress that will stand up and say Homosexuality and Transgenderism are evil.”

He then promised to overturn the 2015 Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage and reinstate the so-called Defense of Marriage Act which enshrined anti-gay discrimination nationwide, adding, “Two men and two women cannot come close to a unified man and woman married.”

“Sexual Liberation is NOT western values,” his post continued. “LGBQT+ movement is communist as they seek to destabilize our country with their divisive rhetoric and destroy families. Transgenderism and Pedophilia are now rampant in our society. We have to ban it asap and safeguard our children against it. We have to get Transgenderism out of our schools.”

Anyone who wants to read stuff like this and dismiss at "Eh, they're just doing it to garner votes.." No. This is genuine hatred and bloodlust, aimed at the LGBTQ community (especially the T's). You know that powder we so love to keep dry? The QOP is gladly using theirs to crush and harm and kill LGBTQ's.

Let's not forget that among their ranks are Ted "I'm fighting Vietnam! Here! Now!" Nugent and Scott "We have all the guns!" Baio. Gee. Wonder who they want to use them on?

And instead of shutting the fuck up during Pride Month, they're tripling down on the hate.

Said to me by a Log Cabin about a decade ago. A lot of his money, of course, came from mommy and daddy. He grew up upper-middle class, if not upper class himself. Born on third base, thinks he hit a triple.

Arrogantly (or ignorantly.. or both?) has tried to run for office here in California as a Rethuglican, of course. Thinks he can win, then come out and "change the party." Right. The way "his" party is acting now? He'll be recalled, if not killed, for daring to be gay in the "Cishet OR ELSE!" party.

Also clearly arrogant, ignorant and just plain selfish. Why? Thinks it's just about his rights. Fails to get empowering the QOP sells out the rights of all LGBTQ's and hurts us all. He wants to sell his rights? Go right ahead. But to sell all of us out for "lower taxes!" and "more monies!"? Fucking selfish...
