Hi, I'm being a laggard. They asked right before a week off (Spring Break)

Finally, after I pestered them enough times (months),

For winesses: The obnoxious student was left out and blocked because she raised a stink. The transgender student was left out because his ID didn't match his birth certificate. The nice (little do they know) straight kid was included (not in my filling) in the witness block.
The straight kid is okay and my only hope.

They want me to repeat and talk about my feelings in a "statement." I already said it all in an incident report. What more do they want???

Okay, many bad habits.

One of them? If I say something and I feel like no one heard me, I repeat it. And repeat it again. Eventually doing so louder.

Best thing I can suggest? Keep telling them how it is until they listen and get it. Because that situation should not have gone down how it did. And the transgender student absolutely should not be left out because "their ID doesn't match."

So keep talking until someone hears you. Best thing I can suggest.

2. okay- help me

FWIW: I live in Florida and work at a public college.

Is there some official way to make a statement? I was just going to type it all out in a doc., but that seems informal. There is nothing formal except for the Incident Report I already filled out at my College.

Should I copy and paste the messages from the College email chains and what I already submitted? How excactly should I convey my feelings in a formal way. My feelings are less than formal.

I also worry about the student witnesses. None that I filed were accepted, and I worry they will/already have gotten into trouble. As soon as I filed the incident report, both were tarred and one was "Prevented from Joining College Events"

A good one who presents as straight was asked to testify, I didn't even include her as one of the listed witnesses. She's not going to do this until after the break. She's a great ally.

Long story short- Do you have any advice about how to respond?

3. I'm not sure how much I can suggest, but, I do think you have a couple good ideas, for sure...

Copying and pasting any evidence or prior correspondence is certainly a good idea. And if you have a witness willing to speak up? Definitely let her do so.

And if what they're wanting you to do is repeat your thoughts and feelings? Definitely do so. As I said, sometimes all we can do is keep repeating ourselves until someone hears us.
