I cannot imagine being trans. I was born in a female body, am quite happy with it. What I want to say is that being trans (or even gay) is beyond my personal experience. But in recent years I've met some trans people, and while I have not had an opportunity to have any kind of conversation with them, just meeting them has helped me to adjust my understanding.

If there is any reason for why we are here, I believe it is to gain understanding of many things, including the human condition.

I sincerely hope that no one reads my above statement as one of condemnation or even simple lack of understanding. What I want to convey is that being trans is something I honestly have no experience with. But that doesn't mean I can't try to understand it.
