The freeways will be hell in all directions. Bart is a better alternative.

The pup and I just got settled into my Motel 666 room, near the Pleasanton BART. Second time I've done it this way.
I'll be meeting up with my company contingent tomorrow, then take an urban hike with the pup to civic center.
Caleb and I did the parade walk 2 years ago, he is my service dog. But in his aging (10-11 years old now), and having had recent surgery, We'll play how far we urban-hike tomorrow by ear.
Civic center station is your destination if you're spectator, Embarcadero if you're marching with a group.

Caleb and I marched with them before, but after tumor removal on his back leg, sometimes he has issues walking now.So I'll probably march with the contingent again in the future. He was assigned to me as service dog during a recovery period going on 10 years ago. I owe that pup a great debt. So these days, I"m his service human now although he still performs his function with a great care.
He and I are going to visit some familiar dog parks in Fremont and maybe in Palo Alto before going home to Mendo/Lake. He'll be so excited because he picks up on where we're going long before we arrive.

I grew up in the Oakland/Berkeley area, but moved up to the mountains 27 years ago... best friend in the City works on Market street and has friends in the Mission...
We did the Dyke March Sat afternoon, had a lovely party at a friend's house on 16th st, met soooooo many awesome new people too
Then Sun AM, her company put on a big breakfast Pre Parade and we just sat on the corner of Market & Fremont St

The BEST Part!? My 17 Y/o Lesbian Daughter and her best friend got to be feral teens and experience the whole thing! Wheeee!

I was a proud Pride Momma!
