Related: About this forumI think I had my first experience with a transgender pre-school child today.
First impression: a little girl with big bushy black hair in a bun. Name was androgynous.
Then I had to help with the pull-ups at the toilet. Well formed and age appropriate sized penis.
To me, it doesn't matter as it's a child. A little human with the same fears and joys as any child.
This child didn't want to take his/her nap, so I pulled him/her on my lap and we rocked in the darkened room.
And I was thinking how this is how love and acceptance of trans-children begins: with gentleness and hugs.

(12,904 posts)Mostly after watching congressional Republican behavior, that there are lots of children that dont get enough hugs.
That will not be the case with my grandkids. Or any other child I encounter who needs a hug.
