So i went to my first pride event today!

In Lubbock, Texas, and i had a ball! Totally cool people, lots of cool vendors, except for one:

The Libertarian Party. "All of your Rights all of the time!" they kept chanting. Needless to say, they were not really getting a whole bunch of traffic their way, which really wasn't surprising.

It just felt sort of creepy. Kind of like they are trying to make inroads into the LGBT community.

Has anyone else seen this?

(on edit)
I had fully expected to see a whole bunch of religious zealots protesting the whole event, yet the only report of such nonsense was a man and woman approaching people trying to win souls and turn people away from their "chosen" lifestyle. They were pretty much told to go away.

But they have been pro-Gay rights and pro-Gay marriage since the 70's.
Several times I've seen their float at Atlanta pride parade and I'm sure they have a booth too. Can't recall them ever chanting anything, though.

Glad the attendees told the zealots to buzz off.

Lubbock- thats Texas Tech? Was there a big presence there?

Good to hear you had a good time!

I think I saw the WBC once, at a parade in New Orleans, but I didn't know who they were at the time and I didn't have any holy water on me anyway :p
