Liberals trying to 'purge godly men' like Roy Moore, Rep. Will Ainsworth says

An Alabama legislator is vowing to fight to keep Chief Justice Roy Moore on the bench.

Rep. Will Ainsworth, R-Guntersville, said Moore has taken a "brave and principled stand for Alabama values, Christian moral and fundamental Constitutional precepts." Moore was suspended Friday while awaiting charges related to his order to probate judges throughout Alabama to ignore higher court rulings related to the legalization of same-sex marriage.
....

"True marriage is not a civil union, it is a religious covenant among a man, a woman, and God, and the First Amendment to our U.S. Constitution forbids the federal government from meddling in religion. The Southern Poverty Law Center and its liberal allies want to purge godly men like Roy Moore from government so they can continue forcing their immoral and dangerous beliefs onto society. As the father of small children, I'll fight the SPLC's efforts to remove God, religion, and morals from public policy, debate, and discussion.

"I will be praying for Chief Justice Moore and his family as he faces this attack and invite all Alabamians to join me in asking God to shield them from harm," Ainsworth added. ... Earlier in the week, Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey said she, too, was concerned about the charges.

for people that think they have the universe's answers figured out and that you're an evil part of it.

They just HAVE to keep telling us about it!

"True marriage is not a civil union, it is a religious covenant among a man, a woman, and God..."

What a load of s**t, that stopped the first time people were required to purchase a license from the government!!!

Is there some sort of genetic psychological need for white people in the South to have someone to hate? Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Gays...I'm sure the list is longer!

Now, not all white Southerners are afflicted with this sickness, but it sure seems that many in positions of authority can't go a single day without spewing their hatred for one group or another, mostly based on their delusional, twisted religious teachings, many of which can't even be found in the Bible!

And the most ironic thing is that while these mentally ill people can justify denying the protections of the US Constitution to those they hate...they have little trouble hiding behind that very same document!!!

Me, I'd love to see their "faith" tested...Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
