Human Rights Ordinance

Date: Tue, 8 Sep 2015 19:55:38 -0700
Subject: Human Rights Ordinance
From: pflagsedona@gmail.com

I am proud to report that this evening the Sedona City Council unanimously approved the following Human Rights Ordinance:

"It is declared to be the policy for the citizens of the City of Sedona, Arizona, to be free from discrimination in public accommodations, employment, and housing, and contrary to public policy and unlawful to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, marital status, familial status, age, disability, or veteran status, in places of public accommodation, employment, and housing; and contrary to the policy of the City and unlawful for vendors and contractors doing business with the City to discriminate, as set forth in this chapter."

Please be sure to thank them for their careful and thoughtful study and conclusion on this most important issue.

Best Regards,

I frankly predict AZ just might turn blue the next few election cycles, and here's why: My own, now deceased staunchly "conservative" parents kept their voter registrations in AZ even though it was only their winter snowbird second home. Matter of fact, practically the entire RV park full of aged couples did the same thing. They all wanted to arrive in the Quartzsite area in time for the November "big event" there. (huge swap meet). It's the same ilk that have been bending the district "red" for decades now.
I plan on something like that in my retirement years. I'll certainly be helping turn the Yavapai district blue, as will the likely next retiree wave generation X'ers (only a small minority of that I know are mesmerized by Faux Noize)
