Jon Stewart and chicken shit

Last night, Stewart on The Daily Show totally missed the mark when it came to his chick-fil-et segment. Is he that thick? Is it his het-majority privilege showing through.

If I had a direct line to him, I'd ask him what his reaction would be if the CEO of a major fast food chain came out against interracial marriage? People against racially mixed marriages used to trot out their bibles to make their case. How is this different.

What if Stewart were around in the 60's. Would he have done the same lame segment to say we shouldn't boycott Woolworth's because, after all, they did nice things as well as being discriminatory.

Stewart is taking this centrist, can't we all get along thing a little too far.

Calling for civility isn't a problem. We could all use a little civility, but having the courage to stand for ones convictions sometimes takes a little incivility.

*I had put this in GD, but decided to put it here as well.

Do you have a link?

Besides, it isn't so much the bigoted opinions of Cathy (deplorable in their own right), but the fact that Chick-fil-a through their charitable arm, WinShape, has donated millions of groups promoting anti-LGBT bigotry.
