Anti-paedophile vigilante who murdered gay man jailed for 18 years
An anti-paedophile vigilante, who murdered a gay man whom he wrongly believed to be a child molester, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, and told that he may never be released therefrom.
Christopher Hunnisett, 28, had killed a 57-year-old gay man, Peter Bick, just four months after he was acquitted of a vicar’s murder. Mr Hunnisett had previously spent more than nine years in jail for killing the Rev Ronald Glazebrook, who was 81, in his bath, and cutting up his body, back in April 2001. He was acquitted during a retrial, when he claimed that Rev Glazebrook had sexually abused him.
It has been revealed that after being released from prison in September 2010, he made a ‘hit list’ of men he wanted to kill, in an effort to ‘purge’ the world of paedophiles.

In January of last year, Mr Hunnisett had had sex with Mr Bick at his flat, before lethally smathing his head with five severe hammer blows, and strangling him with a shoelace. He had additionally tried to frame Mr Bick by sending text messages to suggest that the latter wanted to meet a 15-year-old-boy.
