In the past I had a personal boycott and would not watch anything associated with Trump, but I decided to go ahead this year.
The main reason is that Clay was on and I just love all the work he does for the disabled and as an advocate for the LGBT community.
I'm pretty sure he is going to win tonight.

Aiken also weighed in on his new-found role as a gay activist, taking on North Carolinas antigay Amendment One and appearing on CBS Face the Nation opposite the Family Research Councils Tony Perkins last week, an experience he laughingly still cant believe happened.
Wasnt that crazy? he asked, beaming with a smile, in an interview on my SiriusXM radio program. So it did happen, youre saying? Because I was thinking it was all a dream.
Aiken never would have imagined in 2003, when he was on American Idol and not open about his sexual orientation amid the rumor mill that he was gay, that he would one day be out, let alone that he would be an activist speaking passionately about gay marriage and the politics of the state he grew up in, North Carolina, on national television.
In 2003, wasnt even convinced was gay, he chuckled. Oh, no, no, no, no. You know, its a process for everyone. Even in 2008, when I came out publicly, I said, Im not going to be one of the activist people, who speak out publicly about it. Thats where I was in my own personal journey. I believed at that time that I was completely, perfectly out.
But Aiken eventually felt a sense of responsibility to young people, he said, working with groups like the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network , becoming more aware of issues LGBT youth face today.

(2,091 posts)Even I can't believe it, but I really did get into it. Clay Aiken was a gentleman throughout the season and I'm rooting for him to win. He is so well spoken and kind and I think the other contestants (except Aubrey) respected him. Last week it showed Clay working with children and he was wonderful with them. He must have been awesome as a special needs teacher when that was his occupation. Good luck, Clay!
