Startup Nation meets Maker State: Ohio and Israel forge new business ties

CLEVELAND, Ohio--Tom Sudow was pioneering Israeli business contacts for the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce when he took his idea to the governor's office: Why not connect the Startup Nation with the Maker State?

Eight years and two administrations later, Sudow's dream is being realized.

This week, Ohio announced a collaboration agreement with Israel designed to multiply business ties and encourage joint research and development projects.

The memorandum of understanding links Ohio to one of the world's most innovative economies, establishing high-level contacts between a nation that knows how to create and a state that knows how to manufacture.
