however, NATO is a defensive alliance and doesn't dictate the foreign policies of its member nations. At times we also see Macron, Erdogan, and Scholz react more favorably to Russia than we would expect from fellow NATO allies. Apparently no NATO member has violated the conditions of the charter to be expelled in its history of more than 70 years.

Germany and the rest of the EU would and will continue to step up and fill in any gaps, pointing at the US dragging their feet. This bull shit is a nothing burger
