Lt. Col Vindman is a shinning example of the benefits America has reaped from immigrants and their children who have aspired and lived up to the "American" ideals of love of country, service before self, ethical government service and courage over cowardice. Today is a sad day as the republican party in both houses have shamed all that America aspires to be by putting self before country and cowardice over courage in their at best passive and at worst active efforts to destroy the career of Mr. Vindman. In a just world, every single one of these republican traitors would have to serve a tour of duty in Afghanistan knowing their beloved der leader DJT has put a Russian bounty on each of their heads in reward for their "service." STD (Stop the Donald) or this infection will spread.

1. I feel bad for the guy, since he felt he had to give up his career.

However, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he's already being contacted by publishers and speaking bureaus. Granted, he may tell them all to go bark up some other tree, but he could come out way ahead here. Maybe a teaching post or consulting gig somewhere.

I hope he does well.

2. What they did to Vindman is nothing short of criminal.

A distinguished officer's career was unjustly terminated because of a vindictive 4 year old and his lackeys in Congress. This is the man who testified that he told his father (who was concerned about repercussions about Col. Vindman testifying) that (words to the effect of) "Don't worry Dad. I'll be OK. This is America".

Bzzzzz. Wrong, Colonel. That WAS America.
