Here's a dead simple, 100% foolproof way to fight climate change

Just wait. It will all sort itself out in the blink of a geological eye.

Wait, what? You want your children's' children's children not to die in the process? Sorry, you're on the ride. Fares cannot be refunded after the gates close.

It does all sort itself out in the end. The ecosystem convulses, a mass extinction ensues, and gradually life flourishes again, moving out to fill the empty spaces. It's happened before, many times, it will happen again. Silly humans, we were never going to live forever.

If you have to believe in a thriving human species to give meaning to your own life, then just keep pretending that after your death there's a happy ending of brilliant scientists restoring climate balance or Jesus waving his wand, whatever works for you.

"Fight" doesn't seem like the right word, though.

Given that researchers say we've overshot at least five planetary/ecological boundaries, and there are no serious political contenders in any rich countries calling for de-growth, I imagine the "solution" you mention is the one we'll all have to live with.
