Holy cow it's here. And it's over. George Orwell saw it coming.
"We do not merely destroy our enemies; we change them."
Trey Glenn, a currently registered lobbyist for the Business Council of Alabama - which has fought hard against pesky things like cleaning up pollution in poor neighborhoods - has been tapped by the Trump administration to run the EPA in the Southern states.
The. Environmental. Protection. Agency.
Cue the hysterical laughter.
Ha ha! Ha! Ha.
Trey Glenn? Trey Glenn? Really? The same guy who, while running Alabama's Department of Environmental Management a few years back, took baseball tickets and gifts for himself and his family from Alabama Power - which ADEM regulates? Trey Glenn, whose obliviousness to ethics and decorum prompted a former ADEM lawyer to push for a policy to teach him right from wrong, to demand that he stop accepting gifts "since the Director apparently does not have the good judgment to avoid the appearance of impropriety."
