So I got a major financial kick-in-the-ass today.....

Seems that I owe $63K for loans that I thought were forgiven, probably 50% interest at this point from 2011. Maine hasn't garnished past rebates till now. $3150 this cycle.

I'm thinking of settling, total principle now. 2nd option is using SS to pay this down over 2-1/2 years. Oh well. I like working....

Re-upping this for no particular reason. The easiest lawsuit I ever filed and any one can do it.

In my experience, none of these student loan servicers / loan sharks kept proper chain of title. You challenge their ownership, they decline to respond, you get a default judgment.

Some of us satisfied our student loans the old fashioned way.

Suing the bullshit shell companies that bought up the debt without keeping proper chain of title.
