One year on strike (Tell the Fallucca Brothers: Meet with Workers)
From e-mail.
This Saturday marks one year since we went on strike. Weve picketed, traveled across the country to Seattle to meet with executives at Costco, and rallied with students across Wisconsin whove risked arrest to support our campaign for justice at Palermos.
But in all that time, not once have the owners of Palermos Pizza met with us. So, this Saturday, were taking our message right to the doorstep of Angelo Fallucca, one of the two brothers who own Palermos.
Were going to march 18 miles from Milwaukee to the home of Angelo Fallucca to demand he and his brother finally sit down with us.
Send a message to the Fallucca brothers and tell them its past time to meet with workers and address their demands for justice at Palermos.
Our march couldnt come at a more important time.
News broke recently that the Palermos factory has been in serious violation of several health and safety rules. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration also criticized Palermos management for refusing to fully disclose information about injuries at the factory to workers as required by law..
And workers still are getting hurt on the job. Last month, a worker lost three fingers in a machinery accident at the facility.
Weve been raising these concerns even before we went on strike, but the Falluccas ignored us. Its time they finally listen, before more workers get hurt.
Tell the Fallucca brothers to meet with striking workers and address their concerns:
