Quote for the Day:

When a sizable part of the population will accept the persecution of virtually anyone, it can signal a potential dictator to strike. When these submitters justify the persecution to others at the water fountain and the gym, they apply benediction to soul-destroying injustice. When they participate in the prosecution by betraying their friends and neighbors and go on raids to help round up the people being prosecuted, they give a despot the essential tools he needs to enforce a reign of terror across a nation. And when they approve of torturing and killing “enemies of the state” because their leader requires it, they have meekly given him everything he could want.

I think it's because this economy will not pause. You can read that several ways. The Fed has printed so much money over the last 14 years, or 24 years if you like, that is has lost effective control of spending, money creation, purchasing power. Or it could be the Biden economy, which has the benefits of the various factors that led to the gig economy, remote work, and corporate expansion into every small town in the land. Either way growth is all anyone wants, and paying for it they are.
