Quote for the Day:

According to Congress's Joint Committee on Taxation, corporate tax breaks in the 1995 fiscal year might reach 60 billion. Ralph Nader's group, Public Citizen, estimates corporate welfare as more than $167 billion. Conservative columnist Kevin Phillips claims that tax breaks to the wealthy and to corporations have "become the third-fastest-growing part of the federal budget" and will exceed $4 trillion over the next seven years. As Michael Wines of The New York Times states, ". . . the same Congress that believes welfare saps the spirit and dulls the will of people seems to have concluded that business cannot compete without it."

It's not like the information hasn't been out there for a long, long, long, long time.

I swear, every book I pick up, no matter how old, has incredible gems in it. I think I need to read them all again.
