Comparing Trump's 29 months with Obama's last 29 months
Working back from January 2017, Obamas last month in office, there had been 6.423 million jobs added or 221,000 per month. The difference for the 29 months is 810,000 more jobs or 27,000 more per month than Trump.
Note that back in January this year the total difference was only 194,000, which means over the past five months it has increased by 616,000.
Yes, there's been quite a slowdown so far this year (the 6 months January through June), just 172,000 per month average, compared to 223,000 per month average in all of 2018.
For the 5 months February through June of 2019, it's been only 144,000 per month average.

Edited to add:
And yes yes, the unemployment rate is at about 50 year lows, but note that the prime age (25-54) labor force participation rate is below the pre-Great Recession average, going back to about 1987.

(35,325 posts)Obama. You tell them that or that the Dow increased 300% under Obama it is dismissed as fake news.
Forbes Magazine is now a leftist piece of crap.

(10,901 posts)(links in my OP), so if they quote BLS numbers, as Trump and Munchkin and Fox etc. always do (except perhaps in the bad months like February and May this year), then they will have to live with all the BLS numbers.

I can also dig up where he claimed there were 94 million jobless Americans and that the real unemployment rate is around 40% (100% minus Labor Force Participation Rate at the time).
Well, it's now 96,057,000 jobless Americans (it was 94,389,000 in the inaugural month of January 2017)

(12,618 posts)I actually heard an anti-Obama idiot try and argue that. I responded with that there were just over 300 million people in the U.S. and if that figure was true, then well over 200 million of them are unemployed. That would mean almost every store couldn't function and there would literally be hundreds of millions of homeless people. I could tell that that made him think for a moment and, after a brief moment of introspection, the brainwashing took over, and all he could say was, "It really IS that high."
Ugh.

(3,166 posts)He didnt do anything to affect the job market for at least 6 months. The US economy is a huge behemoth, and it has an inertia of its own. It takes a long time to turn it around, either way.
Most of the jobs created since 2017 are the result of policies implemented by Obama.

(10,901 posts)too. His first year -- February 2009 through January 2010 -- was a loss of 4,267,000 jobs (an average of 356,000 lost per month), a carryover of the Bush housing crash, and significantly hurting Obama's 8 year total .
