Bolsonaro Says He Posted Coup-Mongering Video by Mistake and under The Influence of Medication
Former president testified for two hours to the Federal Police

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said this Wednesday (26) to Federal Police investigators that he mistakenly posted a video on a social network, when he was under the effect of medication, a video questioning the smoothness of the electronic voting machines two days after the coup-plotting attacks on the headquarters of the three Powers.

The version was reported by representatives of Bolsonaro's defense after the former president's two-and-a-half-hour statement to the Federal Police, as part of the investigation into the January 8 acts. The former representative's post was deleted after being made public at the time.
Bolsonaro testified within the scope of the inquiry that targets the intellectual authors of the attack that led to the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Presidential Palace, Congress and the STF (Federal Supreme Court).
Throughout his term (2019-2022), Bolsonaro accumulated coup-mongering statements and, upon losing the elections, resisted acknowledging the result.
