Juan Manuel Santos, president of Colombia, said that his government is doing everything possible to make a transition to democracy in Venezuela.

During an interview for Bloomberg, he explained that the flow of Venezuelans to Colombia has grown. He pointed out that no country has survived hyperinflation like the one in Venezuela.

"I think Venezuela is about to implode. We hope this is peaceful and non-violent, otherwise there will be an avalanche of many more Venezuelans who flee to Colombia," said the president.

He rejected a military intervention in the country and pleaded for Venezuelans to be the ones to solve the problem.
