20 arrested after protest in Sucre stateJennifer Suárez / Dec 26, 2017.- Inhabitants of the Ribero municipality, Sucre state, protested this Tuesday because they have not been given the pernil (Christmas pork loin) or the promised CLAP bags, which resulted in the arrest of some Protesters by the Bolivarian National Guard.
The protest began on December 24 in the afternoon with the closure of the Troncal national highway 009, in the section that connects Cumaná with Carúpano and the Paria area, reported El Pitazo.
After a couple of minutes that started the demonstration, the security forces arrived at the site trying to disperse with pellets and tear gas bombs to the people who were there.
20 of the people who were in the place were taken to Cariaco to be presented before the Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry.

Backstory: Maduro promised voters (if they voted correctly!) CLAP bags and pernil in a country that has no pork, chicken, beef or any fish other than cans of tuna and sardines. They voted in the mayoral elections, got their "red spot" vouchers... but no food!
Stiffed again by the Chavistas!

Rangel Silva: Pernil could not be delivered by sabotage of the fascist right
Jennifer Suárez / December 26, 2017.- The governor of the state Trujillo, Henry Rangel Silva, excused himself for the lack of pernil in several communities of the entity where they had been promised that they would be delivered.
Through his instagram account, Silva explained that he has not been able to deliver what he promised because of "the sabotage of the national and international fascist right, who bet on poverty and hunger."
In this sense, the governor said that the 60 tons assigned to Trujillo could not reach to be distributed in the parishes prioritized by Mercal, located in the industrial zone of Valera, due to "unattainable blockades," reported El Pitazo.
However, he assured that today delivery will be achieved in some communities of the state "to comply with the delivery of animal protein."
It should be noted that in places such as Las Travesías, municipality Valera, the delivery of the leg was made due to various complaints from the municipal councils.

There is no sabotage. What there is is lack of payment. The Chavistas refuse to pay cash for the food they must import (they have destroyed their entire food economy), and nobody accepts Chavista credit. Their own currency is worthless. Even Venezuelan merchants are refusing to accept the Bolivar any longer.
