Related: About this forumThe Norman Goldman talk show.
Ive been listening to Norman for several years, first hearing him when he filled in now and then for Ed Schultz, and when they had phone chats regarding legal issues. I often have to take Norm with a grain of salt and he can get on ones nerves, but I have subscribed to his radio show podcast for the last couple of years. He has a Facebook page, twitter presence etc. and offers a free app, yada yada
I have no affiliation to him.
He streams his show live as well (3-6 PM Pacific), and he offers the archived first hour of his shows for free steaming at his web page.
That being said, I think the first hour of April 4 one of the best I have ever heard. It involves HRC and BS, and the fact that party still matters. That plus his interaction with his first caller Matt, who is also excellent, makes it one of the best hours Ive listened to in years. Ive replayed it a couple of times already.
Do it.

(11,417 posts)He asks if it is ok to read them on the air. He read a couple of mine.
The thing about him I like is that he says we have to think long term if we are to get anywhere.

(4,542 posts)Yes he does.
I thought yesterdays 1st hour was the best, but he's also on fire right now too. BS and the "great man" theory and not helping the party.

(6,444 posts)Like his take and also his answers to listeners. He looks at the big picture. Understands that a DEM must win in November but he is still pretty decent to the BS people/callers.
Learning a lot from this guy!
Am subscribed now!!
Thanks for this suggestion!

(15,445 posts)I listened to Schultz on-line.
His perspective can often be refreshing. I haven't listened to Schiltz for donkeys' years, but I may give ole Norm a try!
Thanks, fleabiscuit, for giving us a heads-up.

(139 posts)I want to just put a plug into this 2-yr-old thread and recommend listening to Norm's program these days if you don't already, especially during the Trump University Administration. Trump's obvious Nazi/Fascist tendencies have lit a fire under Norm & lately he's been getting a lot of D.C. insider attorneys who call into his program with tantalizing tidbits of info on the Mueller investigation.
Imo Norm would be on a par with Limbaugh or Hannity coast-coast if given a chance. He's that good. The fact his show is boycotted to only 9 stations around the country by the nation's 2 duopoly media broadcasters is evidence the Telecom Act of '96 & Reagan's shenanigans aimed at deregulating the broadcasting industry backfired & the industry needs to be regulated like they were for decades before Reagan/Clinton/Republican Party messed with those policies. The Fairness Doctrine needs to be brought back. If Fox News has taught U.S. anything it's that allowed to regulate themselves, media conglomerates will always default to right-wing monopolistic broadcasting, while putting out propaganda about themselves, proclaiming they are actually "Fair & Balanced" https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news/
