Don’t even bother trying to understand what happened in Michigan tonight. Consider this, George Wallace won the Dem primary in 1972, years later Jesse Jackson won. Lot’s of people cross over to wreck havoc in Dem and GOP primaries. The GOP are so desperate, even I received a robo call begging me to vote for Kasich. I almost did, because I thought Hillary had it in the bag. Glad I didn’t listen to the polls. The last time I checked Hillary was down by 30k. Every vote counts! On the upside, Democratic enthusiasm looks damn good.

I'm from Michigan, and my dad always references the "kook" vote, which he says is always high! And it's true!

I can't trust anything again until I'm satisfied that Michigan was a fluke. It probably was, but it might not have been.

Ohio is an open primary and last night's Michigan results are not factored in. As far as I'm concerned, we are behind. Let's work for every vote. The main factor will be what percentage African Americans are of the overall electorate.

Are absentee ballots/"early voting" the same?

Are these votes tallied into each precinct the day of the election?

of election day. Voters registered in the precinct can go and vote like I did just as if it were election day. I "assume" those votes are not tallied each day, but are tallied with the final count at the end of the official election day when the polls close..

Absentee ballot are sent into the supervisor of elections for each county at least in Fl. I also believe these are held and not opened until the polls close on election day.

I see you're in Alabama, which has already held their primary. But if you're looking ahead to the General Election, google early voting or absentee voting in your county.

Not sure I answered you question, but did my best.

We always vote on the day at the polling place, but I hear stuff like 20% voted early - and then we never hear about that 20%, so I wondered.
