(930 posts)This is just contrived pandering.
A statement like that cannot be quantified (not that she'll be asked to do that).
Voted for the so-called Patriot Act.
Voted to invade Iraq, and a lu$t for war.
Our decline will continue under HRC - incrementally a bit slower than it would under a Repug.

(297,607 posts)and the huge majority of the Black Vote in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada! And, the Latino Vote in Nevada!!?
That's too bad.. most people know she'll have their backs. President Obama knows, too.. that's why he wants her to carry on his legacy and build her own.

(1,446 posts)Then we just have to hope that Bernie is as much of a Democrat as he claims, and gracefully leaves the race...allowing time for the party to heal, and Hillary to concentrate her funds and energy towards the GE.

(5,648 posts)Probably all the way to the convention. I think I understand what motivates him. It is all about making sure Hillary can't pivot to the towards the middle (as she will need to do eventually in order to win the GE) and, more importantly to Bernie, its about getting his message of economic inequality out for as long as he can. He is a "true believer". The only question is how long he can continue to bring in contributions once it become evident he is going to lose.
PS: I hope I'm wrong.

(10,014 posts)Hillary doesn't have to and shouldn't "pivot to the middle". She's already in the middle; she needs to stay passionate about her message and persuade voters in the general election of her positive vision for the country.

(5,648 posts)in 8 swing state are true moderates who don't care for anyone who lean too far left or too far right. We need to learn from the last two unsuccessful Republican nominees who drifted too far to right to win their party's nomination and couldn't pivot enough to the middle to win. President Obama used their own words against them.

(930 posts)but ONLY about power.
She's just another 1% elitist who spouts meaningless, pandering, feel good nonsense (much like Obama did).
Bill and Chelsea have a cozy relationship with billionaire Pete Peterson (pgpf.org).
Have a look - it's fascinating.

(297,607 posts)The Clintons are starting to do stuff thats stoking this rebellion. Its not that Hillary Clintons going to lose, Bernie Sanders is likely now to win both Iowa and New Hampshire because the base is getting frustrated with the Clinton campaign, he said.

(388 posts)No, he / they didn't.
The voters in Iowa and NH didn't seem to count to the establishment. Only when Hillary wins, do the votes seem to matter.
