The Las Vegas Sun Endores Hillary!

Why we support Clinton for the Democratic nomination

snip//

The Democrats heading to Nevada’s caucuses Saturday have a simpler task than their Republican counterparts three days later, thanks to having just two candidates — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Sen. and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

They share the same essential values and genuinely champion the middle class. The difference is that Sanders, the rebellious democratic socialist, would be going into battle outnumbered in pursuit of his domestic agenda and poorly equipped in foreign affairs. Clinton has established strengths and demonstrated successes in both arenas.

Powerful reasoning on all these points at the link..

On national security
On health care
On gun control
On the economy
On vision

I hear the Las Vegas Sun is a left leaning paper and they carry a lot of weight in a Union town.. so that sounds promising.

They haven't sipped the Sanders kool aid.

BTW - I lived in Vegas for three years. It's a big union town, and The Sun is the left-leaning paper in town. Their endorsement carries a lot of weight with Ds in Vegas.

anything about it. "lot of weight" sounds good.

And, yes, how cool they didn't drink any koolaid.. and have such a strong well reasoned endorsement of Hillary.

Why do you think Bernie sent his minions into union meetings disguised as union members? He knows how important the union vote is in that town.

BTW - the Sheldon-Adelson-owned Venetian is one of the few non-union shops in Vegas. If you support unions, don't stay at the Venetian.

... accusing the LV Sun of being a "right-wing rag" that's a "tool of the 'establishment'" and run by "oligarchs".

As frustrating as it is to have to put up with the hardcore Bernie fans, they can be amusing at times ... and they're only making it worse for themselves when Hillary wins the nomination (and when Bernie LOSES the nomination).

Many of them HONESTLY believe he's going to be the nominee ... they refuse to believe any other possibility, and those are the ones who are in for quite a let-down.

But not for the horrible way that Hillary supporters have been treated, I'd normally feel sympathetic to those who find themselves having to face the fact that their preferred candidate didn't win. This time? Not so much.

The bitterness we've been made to endure will make Hillary's victory all the more sweet.

It will be such a sweet sweet victory!

Turns out the Las Vegas Sun is very left wing and it carries a lot of weight in a Union town. Read it right here on this thread.

At the very least she will be our nominee - not a Democratic Socialist who dislikes the party.

I'm starting to lose it with these sophomoric Sanders supporters. I'll try to keep it together, Cha!

Anything that is a plus for Hillary must be because of some shady connection or being owed something, right?

God, I am beginning to think this site which I've enjoyed for a decade and a half has become as idiotic as the right wing message boards.

Go away. This isn't your group. You have the whole of GDP and that Bernie room.
