The NYT has very few female columnists. And the U.S. has very few female comedians. Gail Collins combines the two roles with grace and aplomb.

I suppose a simple, "No, I just don't like her", with an explanation of why you don't like her, would have been too polite, too rational, and too productive. We can't have politeness and civility after all, especially when we have anonymity protecting us and allowing us to be as nasty as possible to as many people as possible.
