Permanent damage the influence of some progressives and liberals with in our party. A sour taste is being left in many that may take years to get rid off....I think our more liberal members like Sen Warren may pay the price in her future endeavors..always a price to paid when you don't play nice with others...

I overall think the Sanders experience was a good thing, but I think his late stage campaign staff and some vocal surrogates may have difficulty getting a job in the future.

(3,747 posts)At the beginning of the campaign season, I liked Bernie Sanders and agreed with much of his message about big money in politics, even though I was a Hillary supporter. Now, I am disgusted and angry with the way Sanders has dragged the Democratic Party through the mud and with his constant whining and calling the process rigged. I also find him to be disingenuous and although not the total fraud that Trump is,I have a strong feeling he is much more wealthy than he lets on. (Still no tax returns...hmmm) He has done many things that show him to be ego driven and also NOT against the establishment when it comes to feathering his own nest. I also have found him to be tone deaf when it comes to minority issues, LGBT, womens, etc. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but as the primaries come to a close June 7 (or June 14), I fear my worse fears about him will be be realized. He is trying to do to the Democratic Party what the Tea Party has done to the GOP. Feeling such revulsion for his methods and inflated ego, I no longer listen to him or to his wife. There are historic leaders of movements who are special people...Bernie is nothing special. He is a barely adequate politician...not particularly bright, not studious or knowledge driven, not a very hard worker and not that honest either. Like I said...Nothing special at all.
I was all in for Hillary from day one, but I used to share Bernie's FB posts on my feed (over the last couple of years.) I don't do that anymore. Once i started paying closer attention to him, mid January, I saw who he really was. There is a reason his peers don't support him. I think we can all see why now.
