Last night, the Golden State Warriors completed their comeback from trailing the Thunder 3-1. It was a surprise to nobody who has been watching the Warriors all season. In fact, the series played out like so many of their games this year played out over seven games: First, the Warriors dig themselves a huge hole, and then somehow climb out on the back of incredible shooting. And in attendance to witness the completed comeback was none other than Vermont Senator and soon-to-be Democratic primary loser Bernie Sanders.
Some thoughts:
This is dumb.
Not everything has to be about politics. If I hear Bernie talk about Klay Thompson's Game Six performance by saying "I think we need to fix shot inequality, Andrew Bogut must get more touches," I'm going to lose my shit.
The Warriors coming back was not something that anybody thought was "mathematically impossible." They were the most dominant team in the league and were constantly making epic comebacks.
Bernie is basically mathematically eliminated at this point. Hillary's delegate lead is just too great. Betting your house on Bernie winning the nomination at this point is basically giving away your house. Betting your house on the Warriors when they were down 3-1 was a smart bet, even at the time.

(3,747 posts)Also--Seats for that game down close where Bernie was sitting were going for BIG BIG BUCKS. That's where you see celebrities sit much of the time. Maybe he was privileged to get a free seat. It kind of annoyed me that he was there...but your comments really helped me get over that!
I believe his camp said that the seats were purchased at full value. Who purchased them? I dunno.

(51,263 posts)Did he think that players from other teams should also had been allowed to play on the Warriors and Oklahoma City teams?
Did he think they should had debated before the game so the fans would get to know the players better?
Was he upset that they played the game on a Sunday instead of during the week so more people would get a chance to watch the game?
Is he demanding that the owners of the team should step down because they were being unfair about who is on the team?
