Yes there is a revolution coming but it's not the one some people here keep talking about.

BLACK LIVES MATTER! What is so fucking hard to understand about that? President Obama said it best President Obama Says Racism And Homophobia Come From The Same Mindset http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027044894 "It means that you’re not able to see somebody else as a human being." - President Obama The cold hard truth is people talking shit about Black lives matter are of that mindset.

Hillary has spoken several times about Black lives Matter and how they are helping to change & shape America for People of Color. She gets it. She gets it because it's the right thing to do! When you take a Group of people that have been disenfranchised as the African American Community has and then you treat them with little to no respect yes they are going to take you to the woodshed.

This is the press release from Senator Sanders.

Press Release

Sanders Statement on Seattle Protesters

SEATTLE – Sen. Bernie Sanders issued the following statement today after two demonstrators blocked him from addressing an event hosted by an organization supporting Social Security and Medicare:

“I am disappointed that two people disrupted a rally attended by thousands at which I was invited to speak about fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare. I was especially disappointed because on criminal justice reform and the need to fight racism there is no other candidate for president who will fight harder than me.”

https://berniesanders.com/press-release/sanders-statement-on-seattle-protesters/

Senator Sanders here's a clue, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU! It's about the people that are being hurt! So if two people stopped you from speaking today at a rally of thousands maybe what they had to say was more important than you had to say. Here's another clue you had another chance to stand with them and show solidarity and once again you didn't. You need to learn to speak to people, not at them you also need to learn it's not always about you and until you do pardon the expression, but you're going to feel the bern.

At the rate Senator Sanders is going he will never get out of the single digits and at the rate he's going with his demeanor, I say good!

Yes there is going to be a revolution but it's not going to be from Senator Sanders.

Hillary thank you for embracing all. Godspeed to the nomination!

it is how they respond to it.. and Al Giordano makes a good case that this is going to keep happening..

"This Will Keep Happening Until Bernie Sanders Learns"

snip//

Instead too many of you are on Twitter right now whitesplaining and lecturing and talking down to black folks and people of all hues who happen to see this through the lens of the same team. Oh, yeah, that's a real bright idea for winning this campaign. Let's go on Twitter and troll the black people about how they don't understand Bernie.

Bernie handled it badly again today. He left the stage and went shaking hands among the white people in the crowd. He told a reporter that the protesters "don't want to listen to anything." Just like in Phoenix, he ran.

Contrast that will how Martin O'Malley handled the #BlackLivesMatter Protest in Phoenix .. he shut up. sat down and listened, and listened a lot more. Went through out to conference all the damn day seeking to listen to people of color who would talk to him. And, since then he has put out the most progressive and detailed policy proposals on controlling police violence, prison and criminal justice reform and related matters. You don't see people protesting at his rallies. They probably will soon enough but, he'll know how to respond unlike your guy."

Much more.. worth the read.. https://www.tsu.co/AlGiordano/75250428

I know Hillary gets it!

copy anymore of it.. it keeps going to a sign up sheet every time I try.

Too bad because it's good analysis.. I've like Giordano for years.

Here's another paragraph on his blog I was able to post, though..

Al Giordano I understand perfectly well Bernie's world view. It's all economics. If you have a job with good wages you'll never be pulled over by a police officer for driving while black. Nor shot. That that happens every day doesn't fit in Bernie's concept that racism is merely a symptom of economic inequality. It's a rampant materialism - that everything everywhere is always determined by money - that causes the blind side. He is as much a 60s guy on that

"...when you whined and complained about Obama for six years not giving you your 'hope and change' cookies as you define them. You know why you don't get that cookie? Because nonwhite Americans saw your dreadful behavior toward Obama all these years..."

Holy Cannoli! It always has left me totally bewildered to see people on OUR side of the aisle, supposedly fellow Democrats, who just trashed our President from stem to stern, from limb to limb, up one side of the room and down the other - the kind of treatment one would expect him to get from the bad guys. So WHY must there be people on our side so eager to chew him up and spit him out. I guess that's why I still feel personally bruised by the nearly unforgivable SOB-used-car-salesman insult. CRIMINY, people! That kind of crap comes out of the yapper of limbaugh and alex jones and those jerks. That shit is NOT supposed to be coming from those of us supposedly on the same side as OUR President. Dear God! After eight long miserable years of bush/cheney, I would think finally getting a good one from OUR camp in there - for two terms - we'd have, and show, some appreciation.

Really makes me wonder - who-the-hell's side are we on, anyway? That shit that too many on OUR side spewed upon OUR President - Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. The use of the terms "uncalled-for" or "ridiculously inappropriate" doesn't even begin to describe it. It just leaves me aghast.

No wonder the BLM camp feels the way it does. I know how I feel toward those who are supposedly on our side doing that to President Obama, and shit, I'm almost as white as the average commode!

I used to think that it was Sanders supporters and not Sanders himself who wasn't getting it...but his statement of disappointment sounded egotistical to me. He was saying it's a shame because I'm the best. Well, here's the thing. People get to decide that for themselves.

Here is one of my posts on a Manny thread,

Such Fools. How dare they believe their lives matter.

Michael Brown, One Year Later

A lifetime since Ferguson's police department allowed Brown's bullet-ridden body to lay on Canfield Drive for three hours. Since a grand jury refused to indict Wilson, and a phalanx of police in military gear teargassed protestors and boxed them in with tanks. Since the world met Brown's parents and Jonathan Crawford III's girlfriend and Eric Garner's daughter and Sandra Bland's mom. It feels like a lifetime has passed since "Black lives matter"

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027055033

Such fools, how dare they.

Thank you Bill, thank you so much. This is near and dear to my heart.

Great OP!

There are so many questions about his handling of this.

Politicians always get hecklers. Why did he have to shut down the rally?

Why didn't he learn a better way to handle this after his Netroots experience?

Why didn't he let the women speak for 15 minutes, then address what they said?

Was he afraid if he let them speak, his audience would boo them and come off racist?

Folks commandeering the stage doesn't happen at other candidate's political rallies because security would have never let unauthorized people on the stage. Why did Bernie's security let this happen? And once they let it happen, why did it require shutting down the rally instead of simply escorting the two off stage and continuing the rally?

If he goes into full drama mode over a couple hecklers at a rally, that does not bode well for how he would handle real adversity in office.

"Bernie has had weeks to figure this out. In fact, he’s had years since he contemplated running for POTUS to expand his understanding of what it means to be POTUS. His tunnel vision is actually shocking to me.

He doesn’t believe in trade deals IN PRINCIPLE. WTF?!?!? He’s clueless about the existential issues with guns in this country. Every American problem is solved by 50’s style unions? Hey, I believe in unions big time, but unions are not the cure of all of America’s ills.

Anyone who cannot adjust quickly to the reality of the campaign issues is not fit to be POTUS."

BLM is jealous of the Sanders campaign. He can draw thousands to his events. They don't even bother to organize events of their own. Guess, they are too lazy to organize their own events or they have no faith in the principles they are fighting for.

This is like being in a college class and having one or two of the students take over. You're there to learn, not listed to two people trying to disrupt the class.

Last night I thought that one more incident like this that showcased Sanders' inability to think on his feet and his obliviousness to any concerns not already framed in his agenda would be the end of his candidacy. Seeing more of the insane responses to #BlackLivesMatter this morning, and not just on DU, makes me think that third incident won't be necessary. The Sanders campaign is dead on its feet now.
