Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumInteresting...what Hillary (and Bernie) delegates in NV were actually counted...Bernie math again.
http://nvdems.com/press/math-is-hard-for-sanders-campaign/Based on the county convention results, Bernie Sanders had 2,124 delegate seats at the State Convention and Hillary Clinton had 1,722 delegate seats at the State Convention.
Hillary Clintons campaign was organized:
Clinton filled 1,695 of her 1,722 delegate seats.
Math: 1,722 1,695 = 27
Clinton had just 27 delegate seats vacant.
Math: 1,695 ÷ 1,722 = 98.4%
Clinton filled 98 percent of her available delegate seats at the State Convention.
Bernie Sanderss campaign was not organized:
Sanders filled just 1,662 of his 2,124 delegate seats.
Math: 2,124 1,662 = 462
Sanderss campaign still left a whopping 462 delegate seats vacant.
Math: 1,662 ÷ 2,124 = 78.2%
Sanders only filled 78 percent of his available delegate seats at the State Convention.
Only eight of these ineligible delegates people who werent registered Democrats as of May 1 or failed to provide missing identification information even attempted to register at the State Convention.
Six of the 64 potential delegates were seated after investigation.
Fourty-four of the 64 potential delegates had prior notice of ineligibility and the Sanders campaign had every opportunity to provide the necessary documentation.
The ten members of the State Conventions Credentials Committee consisted of an equal number of supporters from both campaigns.

(30,058 posts)And the fact they needed two-thirds vote to change a rule does mot leave them any wiggle room. According to a Sanders delegate there were bars set up and there was a lack of food ergo creating delegates using bad judgement getting out of control.

(521 posts)"Hillary isn't really winning the popular vote; it's one big conspiracy by the MSM and the DNC."
It never ends with these people. They're so far removed from reality that anything positive about Hillary is a lie or distorted or manipulated or... whatever else they can think of.
I'm done engaging with them. They don't want to discuss politics or the primaries, they just want to talk down to you and yell/cuss at you if you're not on 'their side.'

(67,782 posts)....was pure ignorance of the process and rules by the Sanders delegates, even before the convention convened.
The biggest fiasco, that voice vote, shouldn't even have taken place. It was a voice vote on a motion to overturn a previously passed motion regarding the rules. That previous vote was a PAPER ballot with the votes recorded.
That's what happens when you're neophytes playing in the deep end of the pool.

(145,751 posts)Yes the delegates were correctly counted http://www.politifact.com/nevada/statements/2016/may/18/jeff-weaver/allegations-fraud-and-misconduct-nevada-democratic/
The rules, which can be read here, also state that any amendment attempts must be approved by two-thirds of the convention delegates which would be difficult given the nearly even number of Clinton and Sanders backers present.
Sanders backers say the continuing nature of the presidential primary necessitated more rule changes.
The Sanders campaign did not respond to a request for comment. In a previous statement, the campaign detailed several allegations of misconduct from the state party, which we considered as part of this fact-check. "At that convention the Democratic leadership used its power to prevent a fair and transparent process from taking place," the campaign said in that statement.
However, there were no last minute rule changes sprung on convention-goers the rules had been publicly available weeks in advance, largely unchanged for three presidential cycles, and given to both campaigns.
The first major fight happened in the morning, with the convention being gaveled in nearly 40 minutes after the scheduled 9 a.m. start time.
In a voice vote, Lange approved adoption of a preliminary credentials report showing more Clinton than Sanders delegates. Immediate howls of protests from the Sanders contingent emerged, many of whom rushed the dais and started screaming insults and obscenities directly at Lange.
Although several videos from the event appear to have louder "nays" than "yeas," both preliminary and final delegate counts showed that Clinton supporters outnumbered Sanders supporters in the room.
And trying to determine the outcome of a voice vote from a video of around 3,000 delegates is somewhat arbitrary to begin with. The only person with authority to call for a different voting mechanism is the convention chair: Lange.....
Our ruling
Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said Nevada Democratic Party leaders "hijacked the process on the floor" of the state convention "ignoring the regular procedure and ramming through what they wanted to do."
Caucuses and delegate math can be incredibly confusing, and the arcane party structures dont reflect how most people assume presidential selection works.
But the howls of unfairness and corruption by the Sanders campaign during Nevadas state Democratic Convention cant change the simple fact that Clintons supporters simply turned out in larger numbers and helped her solidify her delegate lead in Nevada.
Theres no clear evidence the state party "hijacked" the process or ignored "regular procedure."
We rate this claim False.
