Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumGood Morning Madame President
Too soon? Yes, I am back after short but interesting stay in the DU underworld. It is amusing to sit and just simply read DU without posting. One, the snarky smears against the Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton never change. Secondly, they all still come from the same old right wing crappy blogs and such and get lapped right up by those who hate the Clintons with a passion. All in all, to my future president,
Black Lives Matter
Women and children are at the top of her list
Planned Parenthood will indeed survive under her leadership
Social Security and Medicare will be there for me under her leadership
The ACA will stay under her leadership
A "Democrat" will stay in the White House for at least 8 more years
Our country will remain safe and on solid ground under her leadership
There will be amnesty under her leadership
There will be liberal Justices under her leadership
She is now and will be supported by her Congressional colleagues as a leader
She is now and will be respected by foreign dignitaries and leaders
She will never tear down or say anything bad about other Democrats or Independents
She will continue to tear up the asses of the GOP and their ilk
Oh my! All that sounds just like another President we all know and love.
Nice to be back in the Hillary Group.

(700 posts)Bernie is a formidable opponent, although I must say I was happy to see both Hillary and Bernie leading the top 3 Repubs in the latest polls.
But, I do like the sound of Madam President!!!

(47 posts)I found this article this morning in HuffPost and it represented exactly how I am feeling about the injustices and small mindedness swirling around the democratic family right now. Whomever we are voting for, and I happen to be 100% percent with Hillary, we should be promoting the democratic values we all treasure in a civil and decent way. Otherwise, we may be looking at a Republican in office with lots of consequences -- a Supreme Court that is even more right-wing then it is now, woman and environment issues that revert back decades and other social and economic issues that do not get addressed, but are swept under the carpet or repealed. So I thought Id share this aricle with you all. Take a peek.

(81,419 posts)Glad you're here! Especially here in the Hillary Group.
I was surprised to find this HuffPo article. It's a GREAT find. It struck me as very validating - of my own views about the overkill by shall we say "overly enthusiastic" supporters of Bernie Sanders. Well, well, well, it's been noticed and NOT appreciated elsewhere than just here on DU. I've actually lost my temper here about it - the brickbats and the pile-ons and the avalanches of Bernie supporters jumping all over anyone who does not bow and scrape and genuflect. This HuffPo piece just reconfirmed all my concerns. It pointed out, accurately I think, that all they're doing is alienating people he's going to need if he winds up as the Democratic nominee. And that's what some of us here have tried to point out, too. I used to like him a lot. But some of his supporters have really started to push me away. Bernie-Bullying is a good word for it.
From the link:
"If Bernie Sanders is to be the Democratic candidate in the presidential election, having a cadre of mouth-breathing thugs as his posse is not, I'd presume, the image he'd choose to convey."
They even come into this group (a supposedly protected group) and start up with it. And then they're so quick to complain about how horrible Hillary supporters have supposedly been to them. Where? Seriously. WHERE has that happened? WHO'S behaving that way from the Hillary camp? I sure haven't seen it. I don't know what they're talking about! The author of the HuffPo piece seems to agree. To his credit, Bernie Sanders hasn't gone there, but too many of his supporters certainly have. And they ARE making him look bad.
Then again, some of them may not even be real Democrats, but GOP trolls trying to stir up shit. There's a National Review article exhorting republi-CONS to do exactly that.

Looks like it's starting to become "a thing."
