He stated, "... and almost 46 percent of all of the pledged delegates, the real delegates that were voted on by the people."
There he goes again with Bernie Math. He has 1,499 pledged delegates at this time. There are a total of 4,051 pledged delegates. My magic calculator says he has won only 37% of the pledged delegates.
To have 46 percent of the pledged delegates he would need 1,863 of them. I wonder where the 364 delegates are that he says he has?

(2,897 posts)he's talking about the total delegates that have already been awarded. Like every thing he does, he leaves things out to mislead voters and make it look like he has a chance.

(51,299 posts)I guess he doesn't understand then that if he has nearly 46% of those already allocated that also means Clinton has 55%.

(2,897 posts)Every time they try to pump Sanders up, they leave out that anything that can be said about him works for Clinton as well.
*Sanders has engaged millions of people. (Hillary has 3 million more votes.)
*Hillary is a weak candidate. (She's kicking his ass.)
*I have X delegates (Hillary has more.)
The list goes on.

(24,398 posts)Sesame Street moment: one of these numbers is bigger than the other. Do YOU know which one? 54 or 46?
LiberalFighter
(51,299 posts)He is rounding them so both have 50%.

That is why he uses the 46%. He wants people to think "that's half the votes."
