Most of the time it is really hard to find any article --for any candidate-about actual policies. Most just seems to cover the name calling.
Hillary Clinton's budget would actually work

You dont have to like the new government programs shes proposing, and you dont have to like how shed pay for it. But in an election season when other candidates think nothing of adding trillions of dollars to the debt, Clintons agenda seems almost frugal.

The folks over at the Committee for A Responsible Federal Budget have added up the cost of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clintons policy platform and how shed finance it. And, lo and behold, it looks like shed actually pay for nearly all she wants to do. In contemporary American politics, this is nothing short of amazing.
You dont have to like the new government programs shes proposing (a collection of new spending and tax credits aimed at addressing a long list of kitchen table issues). And you dont have to like how shed pay for it all (almost entirely by raising taxes on high-income households and businesses). You might be discouraged at her lack of interest in tax reform. And you might wish that shed acknowledge the need to reduce the federal debt, not just stabilize it.
Still, in an election season when other candidates think nothing of adding trillions of dollars to the debt, Clintons agenda seems almost frugal.............................

And that is very refreshing.

(51,072 posts)3. She's a woman. Women and minorities don't get passes for throwing around policy bullshit the way
our white male candidates do.
If her budget didn't work, she would be excoriated and there would be a lot of sexism in comments sections of all the articles that excoriated her about women and money.
Meanwhile, Drumpf and BS put out absolutely ridiculous "plans" that would ruin all of us, and people ooh and aah.
