Hillary Clinton

I find it strange that the continued attacks on Hillary Clinton are allowed to stand and get pushed to the top on this board. Its as if DU is no longer supporting the Democrats.
With the primary essentially behind us, isn't it time that some sort of order return to this site and those who do not wish to promote Democrats either change or move on?

(12,481 posts)I don't see in the near future where the administrators would invest the time to find them and remove them. The passion just not there. I guess the thinking is that they will just eventually show themselves and or go away. So, to answer your question... DU will never be a Democratic Safe House for internal discussion... The magic had left the building.

(10,014 posts)I peaked over at GD-P yesterday and it was worse than I remember. A brand new poster calling Hillary a traitor, responsible for every bad thing for the last 40 years, that she's a republican, war monger, bought and paid for, the usual tripe.
I don't know how some people function in real life with that much hatred, they must be miserable in their self-righteousness. Unfortunately, DU and other sites have given them a place to spew and find like minded people. I don't expect them or DU to change.

(60,352 posts)They will post crap without any links to back it up mostly because they don't have any. Then they will get defensive and proclaim that they don't need to provide links for what they call truth.

(47,211 posts)It is part of DU's DNA.
The only time you really see wide support is when red meat is being tossed.
But it is worse now, because a D party basher is popular here and the jury system protects the most rabid of his supporters/Hillary haters.
Another factor is probably that the site is less popular than it was 10 years ago vs. social media.

(9,494 posts)Even more telling, how many members who regularly post in the General Forums are actual Democrats?
There just aren't that many Dems on the site any more.
They have a great format here but anyone who has a comparable site with real Dems, is going to grow and prosper between now and November.

(84,057 posts)Hate posts on both The President and the Candidate, Clinton, always skyrocket to the top of the page. Pretty damn sad on a supposed Democratic board.

How do the bills get paid?
I suspect there are a lot more of us, than there are of them, but we run off. Is that a bad thing? Maybe. I really don't know.

(25,517 posts)I think the hammer is going to come down hard once the nomination is official. I think they're waiting for it to become official essentially as a procedural issue, then try to make the place reasonably livable again and attempt to return it to its stated purpose - getting Democrats elected. Just a hunch, though.
Personally, I don't have a problem with waiting until the nomination is official, in part because there's really no denying it at that point. Do it before, and I can see Sanders fans making this place even more of a free-for-all than it already is.
