Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumyou must be tired of the Clinton bashing
I am Bernie supporter and I am getting tired of it, I am avoiding the GDP, and before NY I gave it as good as I got
but when she won NY and Penn, it was over. I went to the GD still couldn't escape the BS
for some reason that Filipino election freaked me out, I mean the stupidly of the plurality of the Philippines voting for a Trump like candidate
I am hoping for an ass whipping like 64'

As Hillary says, people are always brutal to her when she is campaigning for a job, but they love her once she's in it.
Her favorable always shoot up when she's in.
Your post is very gracious!

(8,379 posts)I, too, was a Bernie supporter but stayed way from DU for months because the way my fellow supporters were behaving was embarrassing. I then began to switch when I found myself getting fed up with Bernies one trick pony: inequality of wealth. I font know how his supporters can stand listening to the.exact.same.thing.every.speech.

(51,301 posts)Some of us that have been around longer understand that better. We have more information that either validates or questions what we are told.

(1,473 posts)only his one trick pony is the wall.
I believe Bernie's campaign will dive and fall hard if he doesn't bow out graciously. It will only serve to hurt their cause over time because it shines a spotlight on being irrational.

(16,672 posts)The internet trolls have found a safe haven in GDP and are stirring up crap because that's all their pathetic little lives have.

Not all have switched allegiance yet. But they WILL support Hillary in the GE. There has never been ANY question about that.

I wonder what will happen with these forums after the primaries?

(2,074 posts)Thank you for your gracious post. It really means something. And you're right, the focus now should be on defeating Trump. He is so incredibly dangerous. I find it frightening that some folks posting in GD-P seem to be carrying water for him, out of sheer hatred of Hillary. I know, though, that Hillary's supporters and the overwhelming majority of Bernie's supporters, will unite to defeat the grave danger represented by Trump.

(1,968 posts)And right now, some people do seem to be whipping themselves into a tornado of self-destructive (and Bernie-destructive) lashing out against Clinton and her supporters. That only accelerates the "almost over"-edness of all this.
Most Bernie supporters are, like you, completely reasonable people. But completely reasonable people aren't loud and obnoxious, by definition.
This too shall pass (as I said the last time I ate a prune).

(15,224 posts)I also agree that most "real life" Bernie supporters that I know are like you, much as we Clinton supporters were in 2008 when the writing was on the wall.
The part that has been most upsetting to me is to hear blatant sexism used against Hillary by people who post on DU. I mean, come on, sexism shouldn't even be a thought, much less used to denigrate a candidate on a Democratic message board.
Again, my thanks to you. I hope you have a wonderful day today.
