Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumLet them (Clinton group)
Let them (Trump, media, deranged Bernie supporters) blame Hilary for her husband's affairs.
It only serves to make more women, both married and not, stand in her corner, albeit most do it silently.
The more they go down this path the worse it is for them.
If any of these people calling her crooks had the level of inquiry into their lives that the Clintons have had for the past 30 years, they would probably be in jail. How many people's lives can stand up to that level of scrutiny?
I had a huge OP about all of this mapped out in my head, then I nearly cut off my finger butchering meat for my dogs.
You get the jist of it.

(3,089 posts)of attack on Bill Clinton? Better to not feed the bear. But have at it, if they want to. I know about a dozen men among my family and friends who dare not open their mouths and who feel blessed that their wives had the good sense and love of family that Hillary had.

(42,024 posts)And I don't care how many declamatory statement start out with "I'm a woman and a feminist" then proceed to promote a sexist narrative as though announcing gender and affiliations precludes it.
Yes, blaming Hillary for that shit is stupid on a number of levels, but there is no shortage of stupid moves this election cycle.

(3,284 posts)I completely agree about it only causing more women to stand by her, if only in secret. I'm pretty sure most women are sick and tired of the double standards of a society that applauds a vile, obnoxious prick like "The Donald" while trying to shame successful women like Hillary.
I'd love to see just how morally "pure" all of these people are themselves. I'd love to see just how unscathed they would be after exposure to 30 years of life under a microscope.
And it's even more ridiculous coming from Donald Trump himself, the man whose ex-wife once accused him of rape and assault. The man who has had sexual harassment charges filed against him...not his wife, HIM! The man who has swindled thousands of people out of their money. It's the height of hypocrisy.

(9,494 posts)They lived in separate rooms and my Mom had a successful career and many friends. My Dad worked in the Middle East for decades but they never divorced. In fact, after a few rocky years at the start, they settled down as friends.
My Dad couldn't even be faithful to his girlfriends, but after my Mom died of a heart attack at 53 he refused to remarry because he "only had one wife for life".
I thought the whole situation was nuts but it worked for them. There are countless variations of this scenario in homes all over America. Most of our friends thought I came from an ideal, loving family...looking back I guess I did!

(1,446 posts)That leaves a lot of scorned women who can totally relate to what Hillary had to endure on a public stage. Someone just needs to ask Trump if his wives liked the women he had affairs with.
