Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumPopularity ratings for Hillary on the rise again according to ABC poll
Although this article (and the headline) is vomit inducing in the parts that relate to Trump, for Hillary the news is good. Her popularity is rising again after the hit it took with all the email BS. She is over 50% again and will no doubt keep climbing now that she is in the policy phase of her campaign.
Another great finding is this: Clintons improved the most since May among minorities, including Hispanics (up 17 points) and blacks (+12 points), as well as a mix of other groups, including Northeasterners (+16), somewhat conservatives (+14) and young adults (+12).
Here's the link. Enjoy! (Well except for the parts about Trump.)

(16,104 posts)Further, while Clintons seen favorably by 76 percent of liberals, there are greater ideological divisions on the GOP side. Bush is seen favorably by just 43 percent of strong conservatives (vs. 52 percent of somewhat conservatives). That flips for Trump 55 percent favorability among strong conservatives vs. 40 percent among somewhat conservatives.
Clinton essentially breaks even among independents, while Bush and Trump are under water by 13 and 23 points, respectively, in this group. Bush is much closer to Clinton among moderates, while Trumps popularity is well behind.
Clinton also gets at least as good a favorability rating as Bush or Trump among men, whites and seniors more GOP- than Democratic-leaning groups as well as scoring much better among women, nonwhites and young adults. Notably, two-thirds of Hispanics view Clinton positively, compared with 46 percent for Bush and, for Trump, 13 percent.

(17,602 posts)from the article:
Among Hispanics, negative views of Trump have jumped by 21 percentage points, from 60 percent in May to 81 percent today. Thats a potential challenge for the Republican Party, which has struggled to win support among racial and ethnic minorities, with Hispanics a prime target.

you think? are these writers stupid?

(15,139 posts)racism toward Hispanics be dismissed as a "potential" problem that can be overcome by the otherwise honorable, reasonable, and sensible GOP -- in other words, their horse in the race. We'll never be treated to an honest "mainstream" media account of Repuke candidates that calls them out as a bunch of batshit crazy racists, mysogynists, and homophobes determined to destroy what's left of the social safety net so that the already extremely rich 1% can prosper.

(31,246 posts)known that this is the course the nomination will continue to take. Sec Clinton has "engaged", in a very personal way, with the most crucial blocks of the Democratic coalition, and that includes ALL OF US. I, for one, am truly grateful & humbled to feel included. On to 2016!!!!!!!
It doesn't take a 10,000 person rally to send a powerful message. Settings like this have solidified her support among the key demographics. And it's not just because we know her name.

Poll "Clinton's favorability rises, tops Sanders among liberals" http://wpo.st/UpnQ0 #p2 #uniteblue
The Fix
Trumps popularity spikes among Republicans
By Peyton M. Craighill and Scott Clement July 15 at 7:00 AM
.............. according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
..........Clinton's favorability rises, tops Sanders among liberals
The poll brings into perspective the popularity of candidates on the Democratic side, too. Hillary Rodham Clinton has ticked back up slightly, moving from a net negative position in May of 45-49 favorable-unfavorable to a net positive position of 52-45 favorable-unfavorable.
Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist Vermont senator making a run for the Democratic nomination, is largely unknown at this point with ratings that split 27 percent favorable to 28 percent unfavorable. A 45 percent plurality are unable to rate him. Sanders has generated a lot of intensity from the furthest left wings of the Democratic party, with rallies attended by thousands on college campuses.
Sanders has gained ground in New Hampshire and Iowa according to some recent statewide polls, but he still trails Clinton by very wide margins in national popularity. Even among his supposed base of liberal Democrats, Clinton's favorable ratings are nearly twice as high as Sanders 86 percent favorable for Clinton to 48 percent for Sanders. In fact, Clinton's strongly favorable ratings are equal to Sanders's overall favorable ratings among liberal Democrats.
